HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), silver denarius, issued 134-138, Rome mint, obv. laureate, draped and cuirassed bust to right of Hadrian seen from behind, around HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS P P, rev. Tranquillitas standing to left, holding sceptre and arm on column, around TRANQVILLITAS AVG, COS III in exergue, (S.-, cf.RIC 223, C.1443j). Some old surface scratches, otherwise very fine and scarce.
