FRANCE, medal of the Lys Decoration, 1816, in bronze (41mm) by Bertrand Andrieu, obv. bust of Louis XVIII facing right, FIDELITE DEVOUEMENT around, rev. Order of the Cross of Fidelity, surrounded by oak leaves. Nearly extremely fine.
The Order of the Cross of Fidelity was established by Louis XVIII February 5th 1816 to award those who had remained faithful to his cause during the reign of Napoleon I.
