CAPE OF GOOD HOPE HUMANE SOCIETY 1842 - MEDAL FOR EXERTIONS IN THE CAUSE OF HUMANAITY. 45mm. unnamed bronze medal. Good very fine.
During the lifetime of the Society no records of actual award have been sighted and the fifty medals struck were handed to the Provincial Government on the termination of the organisation in 1846.
