FRANCE. 'Sauvetage' medal, 50mm silvered bronze. Very fine.

Struck by the Paris Mint. The obverse die, entitled 'Sauvetage', was produced by Eugene-Andre Oudine in 1887. The reverse is embossed: 12-2-10 F.Crozier Consul General de France, en souvenir de votre aide genereuse.
