AUSTRALIA, Foundation Day 1900, silk ribbon fundraiser for the Boer War in red, blue and brown on beige background, (160mm x 53mm) by H & G, inscription reads 'One people / one tongue / 'We must be free or die / who speak the tongue that / Shakespeare spake '/ Wordsworth / Au Revoir / Australia's Sons / Foundation Day / Jan 26 1900', interspersed with the flags of Australia, U.S.A., U.K., Australia's Coat of Arms and a soldier on horseback. Small amount of fraying to top and bottom edges, two pin holes at top and one very small stain otherwise good very fine.
