LONDON 1948, booklet 'Olympiad 1948' by H.J.Oaten; book 'The Story of the Olympic Games' by R.D.Binfield, autographed by Jack Beresford who wrote a chapter on rowing. Dust cover torn on second item otherwise generally good condition. (2)
Jack Beresford represented Great Britain in rowing, he won a gold medal at the Olympics in 1924, 1932 and 1936 and silver at the 1920 and 1928 Games. He was world amateur sculling champion 1924 and 1925, winner of ten titles at Henley Royal Regatta and was a member of the Organising Committee of the 1948 London Olympics.
