QUEEN VICTORIA, pattern decimal penny, 1859/7, by L.C. Wyon, in bronze, obv. jewelled diademed head to left, within beaded circle, rev. Britannia seated right, with emblems, inner dotted circle and legend, DECIMAL PENNY ONE TENTH OF A SHILLING, plain edge, (Peck 1980, Freeman 687). Toned with a touch of red, as struck, good extremely fine and very rare.

Ex. M. R. Roberts, by private treaty December 1985 and described and illustrated in Numisnews December 1985.
