ITALY, Lucania, Heraclea, (370-350 B.C.), silver stater, (7.84 grams), obv. head of Athena to right wearing crested Corinthian helmet, ornamented with figure of Scylla, E behind helmet, above helmet HRAKLEIW N, rev. Heracles standing facing holding club, lion's skin, bow and arrow, owl above club, to left **ARIS, (cf.S.391; cf.SNG ANS 77 [similar dies], Work 85 [same dies]). Very fine and rare.
