ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.400-350 B.C.), silver stater, (7.43 grams), obv. head of female (Kore) to right, the hair falls into thick tresses, wearing ear of barley, barley grain behind, rev. corn ear, META (A upside down) to right, stalk to left, (cf.S.407, Noe [NN&M 47, 1984] 444, Weber 770, BMC 84 [both with same dies]). Good fine and scarce.
