ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.340-335 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.73 grams), obv. bearded Corinthian helmeted head of Leukippos to right, behind cross torch, rev. ear of corn, to left [META], to right monogram KH over leaf, (cf.S.415, Johnston [NN&M 164] Class A, 5.9, SNG ANS 407). Off centred on reverse, otherwise very fine/fine and scarce.
