SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D.193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, commemorative issue, struck shortly after his death, (2.90 grams), obv. bearded bare head to right, DIVO SEVERO PIO, rev. eagle standing facing on globe, head to left, CONSECRATIO around, (S.1818, RIC 191c, BMC 21, C.84). Small flan crack, nearly extremely fine and scarce.
