MAXIMINUS I, (A.D. 235-238), silver denarius, Rome mint, (2.78 grams), obv. laureate bust of Maximinus to right, around IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, rev. around SALVS AVGVSTI, Salus seated to left feeding out of patera a snake rising from altar, resting left arm on chair, (S.2346, RIC 14, C.85a). Brilliant, as struck, uncirculated.
