MAXIMIANUS, (A.D. 286-305 First Reign), billon antoninianus, Rome mint, issued 285-286, (3.95 grams), obv. radiate bearded bust to right of Maximianus draped and cuirassed, around IMP MAXIMIANVS P F AVG, rev. Jupiter standing to left, holding thunderbolt and sceptre, IOVI CONSE R VAT AVGG around, in exergue XXIS, (S.3616, RIC 506, C.355). Attractive brown patina, large flan, nearly extremely fine.
