GALERIUS AS CAESAR, (A.D. 305-311), silver argenteus, Rome mint struck as Caesar 294 A.D., (3.36 grams), obv. laureate head to right, around MAXIMIA NVS CAES, Rev. around PROVIDE NTIA AVGG, the four princes sacrificing in front of a camp gate, nothing in exergue, (cf.S.3699A, RIC 11b, RSC 183a). Struck on a large flan, brilliant extremely fine and very rare.
