KUSHAN EMPIRE, Huvishka, (c.A.D. 260-292), gold stater, (7.70 grams), obv. bust of upper part of king nimbate to left, wearing rounded leather helmet and chin-band and a tight-fitting and tunic, holding a mace in his right hand, legend around, rev. Goddess Ardokcho standing to right, holding cornucopiae and short orb staff, behind legend upwards APDOXPO, (cf.M.3196-7, Gobl 154). Good very fine and rare.

The depiction of Ardokcho derives from the Hellenistic Tyche, who is present on many Ancient Greek and Roman coins.
