TEMPLE TOKEN, gold, struck on mohur weight standard, (11.6 grams), obv. Skanda the god of war, holding peacock, Yuddhishthira on horseback with with dog running, rev. bull Nandi above, demi gods of peacocks the vehicle of Kartikeya the war god and son of Siva, the male image is uncertain, legend probably in Gurumukhi, (Brotman Miscellaneous Type M, No.1 [p.198-9] but in silver, M.4738 [billon tanka only]). Extremely fine and extremely rare, if not unique.

The dog running on the obverse can also be associated with the Guru Govida of the Sikhs. The description above follows Brotman and partly Mitchiner but is only conjectural.
