ANATOLIAN BEYLIKS, Menteshe Beylik, Ilyas ibn Mohammad, second reign, (A.H. 805-824) (A.D. 1402-1421), silver akce (or double dirhem), no mint or date, (A.1255, M.1210). Very fine and rare.
See note to previous lot. Mentesche beylik received a reprieve after the invasion of Timur in 1402. It was reabsorbed after Layth son of Ilyas in 1426 by the Ottomans.
