THRACE, Abdera, (411/410-386/385 B.C.), silver tetrobol, (2.83 grams), obv. Griffin springing to left of base with both forelegs raised, rev. PRWTHS above within linear square above head of Apollo to left, in field below left an ivy-leaf, all within shallow incuse square, (cf.S.1546, May [Coinage of Abdera] 330 same dies with three reported specimens). Good very fine and very rare.
