THESSALY, Thessalian League or Confederacy, (191-146 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.10 grams), obv. laureate head of Apollo to right, YE monogram behind, rev. Athena Itonia advancing to right, holding shield and brandishing spear, in field to left **F, to right O, on both sides YESSA LWN, (cf.S.2234, cf.BMC 36-42, SNG Cop. 304). Nearly very fine and very rare marks.
