BACTRIA, Demetrios I, (205-190 B.C.), silver obol, (0.67 grams), Merv? mint, obv. diademed and draped bust of Demetrios to right wearing an elephant's scalp and head-dress, rev. young naked Herakles standing facing, crowning himself, and holding club and lion's skin, BASILEWS DHMHTPIOY, **F in field to left, (cf.S.7531, M.105d, Bop. Series 3C). Very fine and rare in this condition.
