CHARLES II, pattern farthing in silver, 1676, obv. CAROLVS A CAROLO, 1676, laureate and cuirassed bust to left, with long hair, rev. Britannia seated to left, around QVATVOR MA RIA VINDICO, BRITTANIA in exergue, (S.-, Peck 492). Dark attractive tone, nearly extremely fine and rare.

Montagu believed the issue to be a pattern farthing, all specimens are only known is silver, however Peck argues that it is possible that they could also be an official medalet.
