ALEXIUS I (1081-1118), silver histamenon nomisma, 4.29 grams, struck at Constantinople mint, scyphate flan, issued 1081-1092, obv. Bust of Christ facing, with nimbus, rev. Alexius I bust facing bearded wearing loros and crown, in right hand sceptre surmounted by cross with floral arrangements, and in left hand globe with cross, double border, (S. 1894, H.Pl.1, 5-8), Large flan, nearly extremely fine and scarce.
