EASTERN ENGLAND, Inscribed issue, Corieltauvi, Volisios Dumnocoveros, (c.A.D. 20 - 35), stater, coinage of celticized style 5.33 grams, obv. Corieltauvian Apollo-wreath, with VO LI top, SI OS bottom all between lines to left and right of wreath, objects either side of wreath, rev. celticized horse to left, DVM NO[CO VER] OS around, (S.301, Mack 283 this coin, Van A. 978-1 notes as rare). Off-centre otherwise extremely fine and rare.

Found at Lightcliffe Yorks. 1827, ex T.W.V. Robinson, W.C. Palmer (sold privately 1913?), W. Ransom, Mack Collection, Spink (London) sale 69 (lot 20).
