NEW SOUTH WALES, five shillings or holey dollar, 1813, struck from a Charles IIII eight reales 1806 Lima Mint (dies II/4 - B/5, unlisted in Mira-Noble). The countermarks well worn, the overall appearance is good to very good and rare.

Brought from Dave Raymond in Sydney in 1944 together with the dump listed as the next lot for Å“9/10/-. It is probable that this pair was aquired by Raymond at the auction in Sydney in 1943 of Dr G.H. Abbott Collection.
