AS OBV. M AGRIPPA LF COS III head left wearing rostral crown Rev. SC Neptune standing left holding dolphin and trident (RIC (Gaius) 58;C.3;Sear 556). Very Fine.
The reverse refers to Agrippa's success as a naval commander. The attribution to a particular emperor for this issue is not settled. Carson prefers the view that it belongs essentially to the coinage of Gaius, as his coinage is largely directed to honouring members of his family; Agrippa was Gaius' maternal grandfather.
