DENARIUS EASTERN MINT OBV. Laureate draped bust right Rev. LIBERALITAS AVG Liberalitas standing left holding abacus and cornucopie (RIC 78;C.41;Sear -). Very fine and scarce.
The reverse refers to the donatives given to the army and citizens in April 218 in a last ditch attempt to gain support against Elagabalus, who was proclaimed emperor on 16 April.
