AL-MAHDI, (A.H. 158-169) (A.D. 775-785), gold dinar, no mint, A.H. 165 = A.D. 781-782, (A.214, BMC 86). Extremely fine.

Although not noted it is believed those gold coins listed without providence were obtained from London auctions (probably Glendining's) in the late 1960's and early 1970's.
