SICILY, Syracuse, (275-215 B.C.), silver sixteen litrai, (13.89 grams), obv. diademed and veiled head to l., of Philistis, wife of Hieron, palm behind, rev. galloping quadriga driven to r., by Nike, legends above and below, (BMC 545, S.988). Uneven flan, slightly bent, otherwise nearly very fine.
