AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), denarius, Rome mint, issued as Octavian 29-27 B.C., obv. laureate head to r. of Augustus, rev. rostal column surmounted by cloaked figure of Octavian holding spear and parazonium, (RIC 271, S.-). Slightly off centred on the reverse, bankers mark in field, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
