PALESTINE, Caesarea, Domitian (A.D. 81-96), AE 29 (dupondius), issue to commemorate victory over Jews, obv. radiate head to r., rev. seven branched palm tree, with two clusters of dates, (Hendin 184 ($500), Brin 133, S.885). Porous surface, otherwise nearly fine, and very rare.

A local issue of the `Judaea Capta' series and much rarer than the Roman issues. This specimen is superior to the Hendin plate specimen.
