REPUBLIC-GENERAL ISSUE, silver dollar, dated year 12 (1923), issued for Pu Yi Wedding, obv. dragon and phoenix meeting over symbol of longevity, rev. small letters for One Yuan inside open wreath, (KM Y.336.1, Kann 680). Light uneven stains with prooflike fields, otherwise uncirculated and scarce.
Struck to commemorate the wedding of Pu Yi, the last of the Emperors and is said to be struck by monarchists as a show of support.
