GROUP OF FOUR:- Military Medal (GVR); 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal. 2.Lieut W. G. Drew A.I.F. Impressed. Very fine.

With research killed in action. MM L.G. 9 December 1916-47 Bn A.I.F. Recipient served in 47 Bn & 15 Bn A.I.F. Second Lieutenant William George Drew, born Hobart 1885. A native of North Hobart married to Dorothy. Enlissted 7 August 1915. Killed in action at Guedecourt 24 January 1917. Buried in Bulls Road Cemetery Flers. Extract from 'Tasmania's War Record 1914-18': Numbered among the casualties here was Lieut. W. Drew, M.M., an officer who, by his ability and genial ways, had won for himself a place high in the hearts of officers and men of the unit; he would have certainly risen high in the army.'
