OCTAVIAN (AUGUSTUS), (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), plated denarius (fouree), issued 40 B.C., obv. bare head of Octavian to r., rev. thunderbolt, (Cr.523/1a, Syd.1326b, S.449). Scratches on the obverse and copper exposed on the edge, otherwise nearly very fine and rare.
