PESCENNIUS NIGER, (A.D. 193-4), denarius, Antioch mint, obv. laureate bearded head to r., around IMP CAES PESC NIGER IVST AV, rev. Victory standing to l., holding wreath and palm, around VI[CTORIAE] AVG, [RIC 87d (R3), specimen in Schwing Sale (Ratto Paris) Dec 1, 1932 (lot 615)]. Some edge pitting and weakness, has been cleaned, somewhat off centre on reverse, otherwise very fine and of great rarity.
