NIGRINIAN, son of Carinus, (A.D. 283+), billon antoninianus, Rome mint, (3.01 grams), issued after his death probably about A.D. 283, obv. Radiate head of Nigrinian to r., around DIVO NIGRINIANO, rev. Eagle standing, head facing to l., around, CONSECRATIO, KAA in exergue, (Cohen 2, RIC 472, S.3494). Much silvering, with patches of green, nearly extremely fine and extremely rare.

ex. Giessener Munzhandlung, Dieter Gorny GmbH. Sale 67, 2nd May 1994 (lot 767). Probably a son of Carinus, who is only known from the few coins struck after his death.
