PALESTINE, Roman Procurator of Judaea, Pontius Pilate, under Tiberius, (A.D. 26-36), copper prutah, obv. lituus surrounded by Greek inscription, rev. date within wreath, LIZ = year 17 = A.D.30 off flan, (Hendin 114 [$60 US], S.5623). Off centre on obverse, has been carefully cleaned, otherwise fine to very fine with a clear date reading.

Ex David Hendin and of immense Biblical interest, this date being associated with Christ's crucificion.
