ARABIA PETRAEA, Bostra, Trajan, (A.D. 98-117), silver drachm, issued year A.D. 113, obv. Trajan laureate head to right, rev. Arabia standing to front camel walking to left, (Kindler No.8 p.101, (pl. VI); S.-). Nearly fine and scarce.

Ex David Hendin, The site of this city is now known as Basra. Founded by Trajan in A.D. 106 it was important as the headquarters of the Third Roman Legion.
