VESPASIAN (A.D. 69-79), denarius, Tarraco mint, issued 69-70, obv. laureate head to left, rev. VICTORIA IMP VESPASIANI around, Victory advancing to left on globe, holding wreath and palm, (RIC 268, S.--). Rough surface with porosity, a good portrait otherise good fine and very rare.

This issue commemorates the peace following the Jewish War of A.D.66-70 and attributes that success to Vespasian. Spanish mint issues are always rare at this time.
