AWADH, Shuja-ud-Daula (A.H. 1170-1189, A.D. 1756-1775), in name of Shah Alam II, (A.H. 1173-1221, A.D. 1759-1806), Banares mint, rupee, obverse A.H. date [1177/8] off flan, with regal year 5, unusual comb symbol on reverse, (cf.KM. 36.4, C.-). Nearly very fine and rare, date apparently unpublished.

Ex Robert Senior, England by private treaty, and Stan Goran Collection with his ticket.
