COMMERCIAL BANKING COMPANY OF SYDNEY, one pound, Sydney 1st Dec 1891, No. D 293623 (MVR 4a). A contemporary forgery, black ink inscription on back 'Central Criminal Court/Cor Murray Actg/28 Nov 1892/ Reg V. James Toogood/Crown lischibt 'C'/E. J. Foster/Clerk of araigns 'Front stamped FORGERY twice in small red block capitals. Holed, otherwise good fine and interesting.
