SICILY, Syracuse, (344-317 B.C.), silver stater, (8.44 grams), obv. head of Athena to right, wearing plain Corinthian helmet, around SYRAKOSIWN, rev. Pegasos flying to left, nothing below, (S.961; SNG Lloyd 1437, BMC 3, Plate XXV,3). Reverse somewhat pitted, otherwise good fine and scarce.
