HADRIAN, (A.D. 117-138), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 119-121, obv. laureate head of Hadrian to right, with drapery on far shoulder, around IMP CAESAR TRAIANVS HADRIANVS AVG, rev. Hadrian seated to left on platform on right side of coin, extending right hand, facing him, woman standing to right holding child on left arm and placing right hand on head of second child at her side, around PONT MAX TR POT COS III, S C in field, in exergue LIBERTAS RESTI TVTA in two lines, (RIC 568, C.949). Surface uneven with evidence of pitting, otherwise good fine and very rare.
