AIR FORCE CROSS, engraved on reverse 'Squadron Leader J.R.French 12th June 1947'. Good very fine.

Born 1913/14 Port Lincoln South Australia, enlisted Launceston Tasmania for W.W.II, awarded Air Force Cross 12 June 1947 (page 1535) Coomonwealth Gazette No.101, flew in film 'The Overlands'. Died in Holland 1955/56. Together with photos of recipient in uniform, various other phots, newspaper cuttings and three flight log books.
