AKBAR, (A.H. 963-1014, A.D.1556-1605), Gold mohur, (10.88 grams), struck in Agra mint, issued A.H. 972 (A.D. 1564-5), Agra mint signature, obv. Kalima, rev. Akbar's name, date and mint signature, (BMC -, Punjab Museum Cat. 127-8, Nagpur 4, Indian Museum Calcutta 66, KM. SAC 105.1). Short on flan on obverse, nearly full on reverse, otherwise extremely fine, scarce.

Ex. Spink & Son, London Sept. 13, 1978 by private treaty.
