ITALY, Lucania, Poseidonia, (480-400 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm (8.02 grams), obv. Poseidon naked except for chlamys over shoulder, advancing to right, brandishing trident to right retrograde POME, rev. bull standing to left, within shallow circular incuse retrograde legend above POME, (cf.S.424, SNG ANS 651-2, BMC 33/32). Nearly very fine and rare.
