SICILY, Syracuse, Agathokles, (317-289 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.78 grams), obv. head of Persephone to right wearing wreath of corn, around KORAS, rev. the King's name AGAYOKLEOS to left of Nike naked to waist standing to right erecting trophy with a hammer in her left hand, in lower left field a triskeles, (S.973, SNG ANS. 672). Attractive good very fine and of fine style.
