ATTICA, Athens, (166-57 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.71 grams), issued 164-3 B.C., (Thompson date) but probably 132-1 B.C. (revised chronology), obv. head of Athena Parthenos to right wearing triple-crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with Pegasus, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, on prostrate amphora, to right forepart of lion, legend across A YE, DWR OYE DIOF, DIONY, ME below, K on amphora, (cf.S.2555, Thompson 390a similar dies). Dark tone, very fine and rare.

The only known specimen noted by Thompson with all these legends and symbols, comes from the Delos hoard, it is also illustrated in Svoronos 'Athens' Plate 46 No.21.
