SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VII, (138-129 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.51 grams), Antioch mint, obv. diademed head of Antiochus VII to right, fillet border, rev. Athena Nicephoros standing to left, holding Nike in outstretched hand and holding spear and shield in left hand, on right, BASILEOS ANTIOCOV and on left EVERGETOV, DI monogram over A in left field, O in right field, (S.7092, Newell SMA 290, cf.Houghton ACNAC 265). Slightly off centre on obverse, otherwise very fine, rare.
