SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D.193-211), issue struck at Rome in late 201, silver denarius, obv. SEVERVS PIVS AVG, head laureate to right, rev. around PART MAX P M TR P VIIII, two captives seated left and right, at foot of trophy, (S.1767, RIC 176, C.370). Small flan crack, light porosity, good very fine.
