CHARLES II (1660-1685). First bust modified, no rose, 1662, proof or pattern by Roettier with plain edge (E.S.C.21), slightest handling but a well struck proof, nearly extremely fine and excessively rare.

Ex K.V. Graham (156) and Agricola (307) Collections. This specimen used to illustrate the dust jacket of the fourth edition of the English Silver Coinage (E.S.C.).
